Effective August 1, 2010, motorcycles are no longer required to submit for
an inspection in New Jersey and display registration decals. Registration
decals will no longer be issued. Decals may (some say MUST) be removed from
license plates.

Road side checks by the local authorities sure to be coming soon... You
don't think the gov't is actually giving up some control, do you? They have
already pulled bikes (only!) off the roads in NY state during Americade and
I fear that is the new pattern for many areas in the future.

Anyhow... We had a great ride last weekend. For those who made it out, it
was awesome. for those who could not make it, we hope to see you soon.

We started out at the Clinton Station Diner on route 78 Westbound (exit 13),
made our way down to the Frenchtown area via some back roads and headed up
519. At 46, we headed west towards Old Mine Road but found a traffic jam on
80 so we avoided that and got lost for a while.

We then found a back road that lead us to Old Mine Road a bit north of 80
and headed up towards Port Jervis.

Once up in NY (via various routes we took), we hopped onto 519 south again
to 46. We took 46 to 31 and 31 to Flemington where we had some of the best
Cheeseburgers on the planet for dinner.

All in all, we had a great time and counting the folks who met us at dinner,
we had a total of nine people if I am remembering correctly.

A GREAT day of riding and enjoying life.

Here's the "other" story... Everyone has been asking me why we have not
been scheduling the Enjoy Life rides as often. Truth is, I was practicing a
"life simplification" exercise for the past year or so with a move from
Essex County to Hunterdon county via a rental location in Morris County.

So, I now own a home out in an awesome area for motorcycle rides and while I
still plan to take some rides north and east, there are a whole slew of new
roads out this-a-way to check out too. Stay tuned for our next ride!
