present financial crisis and thus to have a meeting in one of Europe's

My thanks as well to our French friends. I would recommend not to change the
decision of the final assembly in Istanbul about the venue of the ESF
meeting by a mailing procedure. As I understood our friends from Poland they
want to change the date but not to have an ESF meeting in competition with
their own Social Forum at the same date in Warsaw.

My thanks as well to our French friends. I would recommend not to change the
decision of the final assembly in Istanbul about the venue of the ESF
meeting by a mailing procedure. As I understood our friends from Poland they
want to change the date but not to have an ESF meeting in competition with
their own Social Forum at the same date in Warsaw.

Sorry, but I`m a little bit confused, because of the eMails of the last
two weeks.

At first, there was a conclusion to the october 22th -24th (decided at
the final assembly). After this a email was written with the dates
november 6th and 7th & 13th ans 14th.
To all suggested dates some people raise a plea:

22-24. October, as we decided at the Final Assembly
→ 22-24. October is I Polish Social Forum in Warsaw, Poland

november 6^th and 7th
→ 5-7 november seminar of the Assembly of Social Movements to prepare
the WSF in Senegal 2011 (Dakar)

november 13^th and 14th
→ 12-14. November is not possible for the European Attac Network (ENA)
→ November 13th would exclude all groups which are organising activities
around the G20 summit in Korea

… no date – at least – will be the best!


Face the lack of participators form east-europe during the ESF in
Istanbul – and mayority regretted this point - , I think it isn`t a
solidarity sign to organize the next (action-)meeting parallel to the I
Polish Social Forum in Warsaw, Poland!

I don`t know the action-list form Judith (thank you for preparing this
list!) update, but consider the summerized dates november 27th - 28th is
the next date with no parallel activies. In my opinion it`s better to
organize a well prepared conference - a successful meeting with a broad
political spectre of participating groups, networks and organisations -
than a conference with a inner circle of people.

In this way: It`s possible to organize the meeting november 27/28^th ?
