A fellow in Poland has placed a brand new, unopened Wingnut Wings Junkers J.1 in 1/32 scale up for auction on Ebay starting at $128.99US or its exchange equivalent. If you happen to live in New Zealand the postage will only be $25.00US. Item no. is 160449073238. If you haven't gotten one of these kits yet, now is your chance. Good bidding and good luck! ;<)

As of a few moments ago, it is advertised on Wingnut Wings websight as available for $79.00US including postage. Sorry, my feeble attempt at humor has gone amiss again.

) I was just telling a friend that the Dutch deserved to win (and have
my support from now on -- any team that uses three forwards has my
support) because they smashed us in the 2nd half, while our team
completely lost its self-control. I may have told you that coach
Dunga's list of players had only Kaka as a creative midfielder. We
paid a high price for that, because the team didn't have enough
replacement pieces for two kinds of situations: 1. losing key players
to injury or yellow/red cards in the middle of the tournament (see our
game against Portugal) and 2. trailing the opponent in the scoreboard
(see today). When we were behind 2-1, the coach, in need of more
creativity in midfield, would look at the bench and find a busload of
defensive midfielders... no wonder he didn't use that 3rd
substitution.

Tony,

Good to have you with us. I get suspicious when someone talks about
his "miserable efforts". Then Bud blows the whistle on you. We will
all await pictures of your 'miserable effort" then throw old kit parts
at you.

What scale do you build in? What are your favorites planes to build?

Tom,

What about the Airfix guy sitting on the crate? You could remove the crate and substitute anything- and he has the right hat.
The guy loading the "show-show" could possibly work for pushing or holding or turning a prop.

I'm almost finished with the 1/72 Breese Penguin and I need a 1918 Doughboy to stand next to it.

Anybody know who has one? I've been through everything that I have including Airfix, Emhar, Hat, without luck. I need a figure with the right standing pose, with or without rifle, but especially the distinctive hast (called a "Montana" hat, IIRC). The three companies that I know of but don't have access to are It Figures/Miniatures, Tumbling Dice and WD Models.

Another possibility would be a standing pilot. I'll probably end up kit bashing. Not easy with the damned soft plastic, but I've had some good results.

TIA,

Tom

The three companies that I know of but don't have access to are It Figures/Miniatures, Tumbling Dice and WD Models.

Another possibility would be a standing pilot. I'll probably end up kit bashing. Not easy with the damned soft plastic, but I've had some good results.

TIA,

Tom

I know the Wollsley engine is 1:32 and assume the Gothas and Staaken are
1:72, what about the rest?

Um, never mind, I see they're 1:72 too :-}

Dunga's list of players had only Kaka as a creative midfielder. We
paid a high price for that, because the team didn't have enough

Tom,

What about the Airfix guy sitting on the crate? You could remove the crate and substitute anything- and he has the right hat.
The guy loading the "show-show" could possibly work for pushing or holding or turning a prop.
