Dear Jens,

After a roughly testing,
I find some audio file can not play via Rygel with Wild Media Server.
Do you have any idea about which plugins are necessary for those audio file?
the audio file can not play via Rygel:
1. file format : .wav , audio format :DTS
2. file format : matroska, audio format:AC-3/DTS
3. file format : .wav, audio format: ADPCM
4. file format: .wma, audio format: WMA version 2
5. file format: mp4, audio format: AAC version 4.

I would say gst-ffmpeg (and plugins-bad for DTS) should cover this, but
that might depend on how they were compiled.

But I ever try to add plugin gst-ffmpeg, the result is fail
(segmention fault). And I also post the question on gst-develop, no
any input .
Do you ever try to add plugin gst-ffmpeg?

Hi John,

When I try to add ffmpeg, it is fail.


my gstreamer version has installed successfully:
gstreamer-0.10.36
gst-plugins-base-0.10.36
gst-plugins-good-0.10.31
gst-plugins-ugly-0.10.19

but only ffmpeg plugin (gst-ffmpeg-0.10.13) fail

00000000 (epc == 2aea94a8, ra == 2b49a95c)

ERROR: Caught a segmentation fault while loading plugin file:

Please either:
- remove it and restart.
- run with --gst-disable-segtrap --gst-disable-registry-fork and debug.

Sorry, I either use gst-ffmpeg from my distribution (Debian unstable) or
self-built via jhbuild. both work fine.
