As part of the ongoing B2G (Firefox OS) release efforts, the developer engagement & MDN teams will be making several appearances in Brasil and would like to invite you to help us make a bigger impact and get developers excited about contributing to the success of the launch - by suggesting events/locations, participating, and inviting others to come meet us and help make MDN a better resource for Brasil & Latin America. We have a few events scheduled but are looking for more opportunities or to join events you are planning (or would like to plan). We want to make sure whatever we do is valuable and fun. Our goal is to develop great mobile apps and get MDN documentation translated into Brazilian Portuguese and Spanish so everyone can have a wonderful experience with Firefox OS when it launches! Hack Days, meetups, training sessions, translation parties, doc sprints - all are options we're happy to consider.
Here is where we know we will be, and where we're looking for suggestions:

* FISL - Porto Alegre, 25-28 July. - Community Dinner: 24 July - Many Mozillians from the Community - MDN Apps Hack Day: 27 July on site at FISL -Christian Heilmann, Jeff Griffiths, Shez Prasad, John Hammink, Artur Adib and many more! Learn about DevTools and Hacking on Apps. - Docs L ocalization S print : 28 July on site at FISL - Sheppy , Luca Toledo, Reuben Morais, Fernando Pereira Silveira & Maurício Luis Comin Araldi . * BrazilJS 2012 - Porto Alegre, 30-31 August & an Apps Hack Day on 1 September in Porto Alegre, after BrazilJS .
* We are also thinking of hosting a MDN writer & developer meetup (possibly on 3 September), plus a training on how to do your own doc sprints. Is Porto Alegre a good location, or would it make more sense to host this in a different city (recommendations)? We're also open to different types of events (like several different meetups/docs hack days) - whatever would best engergize the Brazil community around docs and translation, especially something the community already is participating in.
October
* Apps Hack Day / Apps Localization Day / Demo Hack - we could use suggestions for location s for th ese . What is most convenient for Mozillians in Brazil? And would there be interest in an additional session in a different country - Argentina, perhaps?

Hi Ali, we will be glad to organize an event in Argentina. Sadly, one
of the best options seems occupied to you (30, 31 august, 1st
september). At those dates we are organizing a big Journalist event,
that include workshops and a hackaton, and we are thinking on this
kind of activity.
But for sure we could organize other event on some dates after that.
