Be a Linux Essentials "Hero" (Title inspired by
lpi.org/blog/be-linux-essentials-hero)

Today 8:30am:

At 8:30am, under a chilly cold weather (Some 26 degrees Centigrade or
lower). Some 30 or more youths had arrived at the venue for the LPI Linux
Essentials in Jos.
Apparently the news had gone round about the LPI Linux Essentials "Beta"
version via mail and word of mouth.


By 10am, the exam started with 30 candidates, and this was just going to
be the first session. After 90 mins,(the weather had gotten fair, as if a
gentle warmth had been generated by the candidates) a second batch was
getting ready, another 30 again this time, and by 16oohrs, a third batch
of exams had been completed with the whole exam going in a descent and
orderly fashion.

71 candidates had taken the LE " BETA" Exams. I dare call them heroes:
New to Linux, took the training provided by Nignux Technologies, (Nignux
Technologies Ltd.No. 1B Joseph Gomwalk Road, Opposite Polo Club, Jos.)
(with no FUDs- Fear , Uncertainty and Doubt) rose early this morning,
under the chilly cold weather, with the faith of peace ( Peaceful Jos
city in Nigeria had experienced turbulent times in months past).

And today these heroes - true Linux Essential Heroes (Boys, Girls,
Graduates and Undergraduates) had trooped out to sit the first ever LPI
Linux Essential exams in Nigeria.

By the end, we were greeted with a downpour of rain as if by Providence,
the weather had been hacked by some watchful Hero and reconfigured for
these heroes to fly.

And this was just a tip of the iceberg because in another city in the
nation, some other heroes were preparing to soar.

Many thanks were poured to LPI for the opportunity and most especially for
believing in youth - a Linux Certification for youth.
