I would like to take out all the dead oleanders and replace them with something that would recreate the 20’ hedge (we have a two story house behind us). I have been leaning towards replacing them with Arizona Rosewood because they look similar to oleanders so I could leave in the oleander plants that are still alive and not have the hedge look too strange while also saving money on the oleander removal. What are your thoughts on Arizona Rosewood as a replacement for oleanders? I cannot find anything that says how quickly they grow other than moderate (what does moderate mean in terms of vertical feet). I have an irrigated lot. Will rosewood grow to 20' tall? I have read differing options on the mature height of AZ Rosewood (anywhere from 10' to 30'). Also would you recommend that I take out the oleander rootballs or could i just have them ground dow

===========================================

That's pretty tall order (pun not intended). Most 20' tall trees or shrubs do not fill in with foliage at the lower 5'. You might look at cypress trees (Arizona or Italian). Most will not get as tall as the literature suggest, especially not if crowded into a dense hedge. Few of us want such a tall hedge so experience here is somewhat limited..
