Hello,

I wanted the ACRL HSIG to know that RUSA's RSS has just formed a new committee, the Health and Medical Reference committee. One of the main purposes of the committee is to write new Guidelines for Medical and Health Reference, since the old ones (http://www.ala.org/rusa/resources/guidelines/guidelinesmedical) are sunsetting this year.

Here is the latest news from RSS where they talk about the creation of this new committee (among others): http://www.rusa.ala.org/rusaupdate/category/rss-review/).

I will be the chair of the committee this first year. I don't see this committee being in conflict with the ACRL Health Sciences Interest Group, and I hope that there are ways that we can work together! I will continue attending both committees as often as possible.
