Greetings Everyone:
In snooping around with the genealogy I have been doing I found Phil Bosserman passsed away 7 September 2010. I just received a message from Beth that confirmed his death. I don't remember it being posted on the Circleletter, so if you didn't know about it here is your notice.

Kansans Phil and Sue Moyer Bosserman Reunited

October 9, 1931 -- September 7, 2011


The Rev. Phil Bosserman, PhD, Baker University '52, Professor Emeritus
of Sociology and Peace Studies at Salisbury University in Salisbury, MD,
died September 7, 2011 in Delmar, DE, at the age of 79. Son of barber
Harry and Pearl (Shively) Bosserman of Hutchinson, Phil married Sue
Marilyn Moyer, HHS '50, eldest daughter of Johnnie and Marjorie
(Streeter) Moyer of Hamlin, Brown County, KS on January 29, 1954.

Bosserman held degrees from Baker University and Boston University.
After the young pastor and family built schools in Africa for a year,
Sue was diagnosed with MS in 1967. The family moved to Tampa, FL, where
Phil joined the faculty of USF. Following Sue's death from complications
of MS in 1971, Bosserman left Florida for Maryland to head Salisbury
University's Department of Sociology.

Phil Bosserman is survived by his second wife, Carol; daughters Marji
Bosserman Slavin (Michael) of Baldwin City, KS, Beth Bosserman Curts
(Gerry) of Tampa, FL, Katy Bosserman of Bel Air, MD, and son Marc (Joni)
Bosserman of Los Angeles, CA, three stepsons, Doug (Lisa), Brian and Jon
(Lisa) Conley, and eleven grandchildren. Marji Sue attended Hiawatha
High in 1972. Beth summered on the J. R. Moyer's Hamlin farm for many years.

Bosserman returns home to Kansas at Thanksgiving to be buried next to
Susie Moyer Bosserman at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Hiawatha.

Marji, Sorry to hear about your dad. It is not easy to lose a parent. I still have fond memories of the first time I met your family when you came to Peace Valley and then Katy spending time with us after your mom passed. It has been a roller coaster time for me this year emotionally but all is well. Clara
