I wanted to alert you that the proposed Land Use Code is now available
to download by going to Taos County's website at: www.taoscounty.org *

It is a large document and I encourage you to read the sections
pertaining to the Neighborhood Association Overlays. There are also two
articles about the LUC in the Taos News this week of interest you might
want to check out.

For the most part the LCWMPA overlay is correctly stated and the few
corrections to be made have been submitted to the Planning Department.
We have a written description of our Neighborhood Association
boundaries, however the LCWMPA map will require some corrections that
were approved by the membership at our Annual Meeting in May of 2011 and
submitted to the Planning Department.

According to Nathan Sanchez there is a regional meeting next week on
*July 20th at 6pm* *at the Judicial Complex in the County Commission
Chambers* for the public to come to a Q and A session. Also, a workshop
with the County Commissioners is scheduled but the date has not been
confirmed. A hearing for final approval will follow....

I urge greater participation and getting involved in shaping the future
of how land is developed and used within our Community. Again, I want to
thank the many folks who over the past 5 years have contributed
countless hours of their time and energy to get to this day.
