Hello
I'm writing an blog article about UPnP AV, so i've Rygel found. Is there
any opportunity to run rygel on a server without the x windows system
for example on ubuntu server?

These ones don't seem like something ignorable. Is it possible to
get a gdb backtrace of that? Make sure to run rygel as:
G_DEBUG=fatal-criticals gdb rygel
and then gdb will treat those warnings like a crash.

This and other dbus ones can be ignored. You can get rid of most of
them by disable/removing the 'external' and 'mpris' plugins.

Yes, you did! Thanks so much. Seems like we are not *gracefully*
handling inexistance of session bus. :( If its not too much to ask,
could you please file a bug about this, so that we don't easily forget
about this?

These ones don't seem like something ignorable. Is it possible to
get a gdb backtrace of that? Make sure to run rygel as:
G_DEBUG=fatal-criticals gdb rygel
and then gdb will treat those warnings like a crash.

This and other dbus ones can be ignored. You can get rid of most of
them by disable/removing the 'external' and 'mpris' plugins.

Thanks a lot for the new version 0.11.1.
I've compiled it succesfully (-disable-mpris-plugin
--disable-external-plugin --enable-mediathek-plugin), but it not
running.
The following happen, before I fall back to the prompt:
(rygel:4557): Rygel-DEBUG: rygel-user-config.vala:119: Loaded system
configuration from file '/usr/local/etc/rygel.conf'
(rygel:4557): Rygel-DEBUG: rygel-user-config.vala:131: Failed to load

These ones don't seem like something ignorable. Is it possible to
get a gdb backtrace of that? Make sure to run rygel as:
G_DEBUG=fatal-criticals gdb rygel
and then gdb will treat those warnings like a crash.

This and other dbus ones can be ignored. You can get rid of most of
them by disable/removing the 'external' and 'mpris' plugins.

That looks like there's an issue with the glib you compiled against (a
version containing GDBus) and the one you're running against (a version
not containing GDBus). You should check with ldd if the libgio it links
against is the right one.

Also maybe we should explicitly check for and link against gdbus?

These ones don't seem like something ignorable. Is it possible to
get a gdb backtrace of that? Make sure to run rygel as:
G_DEBUG=fatal-criticals gdb rygel
and then gdb will treat those warnings like a crash.

This and other dbus ones can be ignored. You can get rid of most of

That looks like there's an issue with the glib you compiled against (a
version containing GDBus) and the one you're running against (a version
not containing GDBus). You should check with ldd if the libgio it links
against is the right one.

Also maybe we should explicitly check for and link against gdbus?

There's no explicit GDBus. GDBus is part of GIO.

Hello
I'm writing an blog article about UPnP AV, so i've Rygel found. Is there
any opportunity to run rygel on a server without the x windows system
for example on ubuntu server?
