432-552-2183 (Office) *I received the following inquiry today. Legacy Reserves has been regularly
offering internships to UTPB accounting students, and it is a great
opportunity for training and growth. Some of you may meet the
qualifications for this to be an internship: *

*ACCT 4392 Internship: Prerequisites: ACCT 3301, ACCT 3302, and either ACCT
3303 or ACCT 3305 and three additional hours of upper-level accounting;
minimum GPA of 2.5 overall and 2.75 in the major and permission of academic
advisor and faculty internship advisor.*
Legacy Reserves, LP is looking for an accounting intern to work 20-25 hours
a week. UTPB interns have been wonderful assets to our internal audit
department, and we hope that we can continue our relationship with your
school.

The intern will work directly with Legacy’s Senior Internal Auditor to
complete SOX 404 (internal control) testing as well as financial testing.
The intern will be exposed to accounting for Master Limited Partnerships,
operational accounting, as well as Sarbanes Oxley internal control
framework.

This is a wonderful opportunity for an accounting student who is interested
in corporate accounting, energy accounting, or auditing to get broad
exposure to the industry.

We understand the importance of providing internships to students and I know
that UTPB does an outstanding job of making their students marketable.

If you have any business students (preferably accounting) that may be
interested in this opportunity, they can email their resume and/or questions
to , or call anytime at 432-689-5244

Thank you for your time,

Jake Baccus
