Dear PL Group,
A surprise PL talk for tomorrow: This will be a dry run of the talk I plan
to give in Novi Sad next week about the yield control operator and its
relation to continuations. While this talk focuses on yield, it can also
serve as a general introduction to continuations and delimited control
operators such as shift/reset. I know that most of you are away for summer.
But if you are around, do come by. Any feed back would be appreciated at
this point.

Title: Yield - Mainstream Delimited Continuations
Speaker: Roshan P. James

Can somebody please record this talk?
Thanks,
Nilesh.

If anyone can record this for me, I would appreciate it.

Hey there's no way to listen in in real time is there? A speaker phone in
the room?

We should consider setting up live video streaming for all of us who are out
of town this summer. Apparently http://www.ustream.tv/ let's you do this,
but there might be other/better ways to do it.

IU provides conferencing software:
http://breeze.iu.edu/
You have to get an account to use it though. It may be more suitable
since one can also share slides, and the video is in real time.

Ah, nice! Something to keep in mind for future seminars. I've used webex
and live meeting but didn't know that Adobe was in this game too.
Today, I was thinking low tech (email slides + speakerphone). But if
there's no polycom speakerphone... I can catch the recorded version after.

Yes, and the software is rather nice. Also, you don't have to worry
about (upload) bandwidth too much since video goes through the server.
Also, Adobe Connect allows recording of sessions.

Ugh, just got this and it looks like the talk is ready to start...
There is no phone jack in LH115 so a speakerphone is out. But, surely
someone at the talk will have a laptop with skype??? Or, a cell phone
with unlimited minutes? :)
With some advance notice we can also set up a polycom for future talks.
