I would like to hear from folks who have been diagnosed with bipolar,
concerning the meds they take or have taken in the past.

Good health to all!

Howard is right - very insensitive of me. I would still appreciate
responses. So if anyone would feel comfortable writing me off-line,
that would be great.

The reason I was asking is that I've had a bad bout of depression in
the last six months, the shrink put me on meds that had tremendous
side-effects. So, I was wondering if any of you knew of more gentle
meds.

Losing your hair and looking like a witch just ain't any fun! Just
to mention a host of other gems.

Glad you are all there, couldn't do without you.

I just got around to reading an article from the NYTimes that someone
had mentioned before, The Americanization of Mental Illness, that had
some interesting points in it. There's no question that we have done
a lot of harm by passing out labels and meds without understanding
what's really going on in one's life. And there is no question that
we have passed this on to other nations and cultures.

meds--could be a good place to ask
