Hey everyone,
A draft of the new PL group website is up at
http://lambda.soic.indiana.edu/
Although the site does not look particularly wiki-ish on the surface,
it is a wiki. That means that it's easy to update the site: click the
"Login" button at the bottom, then click the "Register" link if it's
your first time. After creating an account, you'll be able to log in
and edit pages. The various options for editing will be, I hope,
self-evident once you're logged in. So, if there's something about
the site you want to change, you can do it yourself. (Which is to
say: don't ask me to make updates to the site. :) )
I'll send a separate message with more technical details about the
site. In the meantime, please start tweaking the site to your liking.
When we have it the way we want it, we can have lambda.cs.indiana.edu
and www.cs.indiana.edu/proglang point there as well.
If you run into Rob H. in the hallway, please tell him thanks. He did
the DNS wrangling so that we could have lambda.soic.indiana.edu, and a
lot more besides.
Lindsey

lambda.cs.indiana.edu now forwards to lambda.soic.indiana.edu (though
there is always DNS propagation delay, so it might be a little while
before it works for you).
For anyone who happens to be nostalgic for the old
lambda.cs.indiana.edu, it lives on as
http://www.osl.iu.edu/~kyross/lambda.html .

Lindsey,
Thanks for the elephant.
I hope it stays.

You're welcome. That's my favorite part too. :)
